So, im thinking about the great producers currently still alive in hip hop. yea, i mean theres your Primo and Alchemist and all those old greats roaming around producing incredible music and then you have your artists like Kanye. im not particularly a Kanye fan so much, but i like the kid's work on other people's tracks. his work with common, pharoahe and talib is incredible. he made consequence's album something to listen to. he uses alot of strong instruments and good audible samples, he makes quality music.

Madlib is another who's work cant be disputed as quality while alot of it is very off-path stuff, its root turntabulism. that is to say, the man is dealing in records and experimenting with beats in a way that isnt heard often. i mean i love these guys. i discuss music with guys who know the music and they feel me, i speak with women and find a huge difference Lily says she likes madlib work as madlib (or quasimoto), but she couldnt get into YNQ and im like, 'YNQ is some of his most amazing work next to 'mind fusion'. am i crazy? do guys just agree with what guys agree with the way women change their opinions around other chicks?

i think what bugs me is i cant get a decent argument out of the deal. its basically, 'i dont like it' or 'i do like it' and my dumb ass is like, 'but the ambient sample of ___ album on track 7 on ___ album...'

its frustrating.
if i get a good deep opinion from someone who really enjoys it like Lily, ill go back and look again. i like to study, i like to learn, i like to debate.
