So, i noticed Warren Ellis comment on Paul O'Brien's Sanity and i didnt know what he was talking about. So i decided to go read another O'Brien critique for old times sake. Now, Warren Ellis says, "though Paul O’Brien may have lost his mind..." due to all the X-books he's read. Frankly i liked the guy's reviews (still do) and i didnt truly believe that he was going nuts until i found my quote of the day on his comic review/blog on Wolverine issue #55;

"Now, I know what you're saying.

This is trivia. These are points of detail, of interest only to the sort of nitpicker who knows the difference between a cat and a sasquatch. This is America, goddamit, and if our children leave school knowing what a cat is, they've been reading too many books and playing too little football. What are you, some sort of difference-between-a-cat-and-a-sasquatch-knowing nancy boy? Such considerations are beneath Jeph Loeb, for he is thinking of the bigger picture. To the true maestro, the cat and the sasquatch are as one.
"

freakin... wow... i mean, i stopped reading X-Books because i couldnt handle watching the memories and stories and beloved characters getting raped by the pen-wielding hands of inept writers who would be much better off writing harry potter fan-fics and stories about dancing elves and other creatures wearing pointy hats with cokney accents.

i feel his pain.. but the guy does read every X-Men comic that comes out in the states. he brought his insanity on himself. while i would love to meet him in that space of time between ranting-on-a-forums and homicidal... i cant tell which one he's at right now.
