So my first draft of the Wow-Char drawing is up, and the reviews have been mixed at best. Jamie loves it and thinks the new style im using is awesome. you can find it under Arts and you will notice its not my normal style. i wanted to steer clear of the cheesecake bikini model stereotype i see in other wow female character sketches. unfortunately, others have not understood certain things correctly, immediately. after explaining things like, "she's a paladin" and "she's skinny and her tabard is baggy" and "No, the horde has elves now". these are things you shouldnt have to explain.
ive decided that at some point i will figure out coloring so that this all makes more sense. no one seems to question the chibi and colorful drawings on the wow-forums and deviant art. ill have to re-draw the whole thing using ink or just dark lines over a light box, but so far im really enjoying the new style. i came up with it through trial and error. i have always liked a bit of a cartoon look to my figures, and now im headed further in that direction, and im very comfortable with that.
im starting to like having these videos around on my site. makes things feel a bit more about the music of the culture. you see what music i like, you hear what nerdiness i say. not every hip hop fan is all chains and gold and guns. theres some Souls of Mischief and Lupe Fiasco guys out there too. Even Ras Kass makes references to Magneto.
