So i cracked open an old CD case and started digging through a bunch of the CD's i had in there. Now granted i could probably buy an 8GB flash drive and cram all of those tracks (excluding redundancies) onto the sucker and still have room for more albums, but half the fun is finding out whats on there. These discs are from before my wife, dogs, or married were even thoughts in my head and i am genuinely pleased with some of the old music i have found in my collection. Some of the tracks are utterly enigmatic in terms of why i used to like it, while others are confounding as to how could i forget it! heres a list of some notable surprises. please note the flash player i use here doesnt have any volume controls... (that i know of)... so anything you play will be played at full volume.

LL Cool J - It Gets No Rougher - perhaps the most amazing of LL Cool J's songs in my humble opinion.
Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart - I make fun of people who listen to joy division... looks like i will have to start making fun of myself. i'm almost positive that Margot put this in my collection back when we were friends.
The Prodigy - Diesel Power - One of the best Kool Kieth songs ever, which doesnt actually have his name on it.
X-Clan - Tribal Jam - Then comes X-Clan, one of the best hip hop groups in the 90's with their thematic african clothes and symbols and the Emee, Grand Verbalizer
Camu Tao - Hold the floor - I used to bump this song every morning and i'm sure its why my nerves are so wracked
Cannibal Ox - Rasberry Fields - My nieces's boyfriend and i were discussing this song just the other night. He said he liked my Radio Blog as we listened to my custom pandora station that plays all (good) old school hip hop.
A-Plus - We Intersect (feat. Tajai) - This song was impossible to get a clean copy of back in the day... since you could only get it on cassette tape! i guess some collections have it out there somewhere, i have to find out where. I need a better copy than this.
Madness - One Step Beyond - My wife likes Madness. I think they're good too. This song also exemplifies what goes through the dogs heads the second i come home and the following minutes of insanity.
Cypress Hill - Shoot Em Up - I dont know if you remember this, whoever is reading this, but Cypress Hill had a song in the movie juice. "how i could just kill a man" unfortunately that song didnt appear on the soundtrack. What was on the soundtrack was arguably just as awesome.
De La Soul - Big Brother Beat (Feat. Mos Def) - This was the song that made me say, "Who the hell is this 'Mos Def'?"
Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong - Our Love Is - The greatest treasures in my collection were songs like these.
Traci Lords - Fallen Angel - i didnt know if i was going to post this one, but i always thought it was interesting how Traci cme up from an underage porn star, to a dance music musician, to an actual screen actress to... what?
