its utterly pointless to try and introduce this song on the west coast. its an anthem. like all anthems, its best played and replayed. its Hieroglyphics. perhaps the greatest clique on the whole west coast. the greatest. if they hadnt come around, all of these little ughh cliques who are so original and innovative wouldn't be here. they wouldn't have had a chance
the first words in this song are burned into my mind for eternity:
dialed the seven digits,
called up brigit,
her mans a midget,
plus she got friends,
yo i can dig it.
heres a 40 swig it,
you know its frigid,
i got em chillin in the cooler,
break out the ruler (damn)...

93' Till Infinity - Souls of Mischief
these are the Hieroglyphics crew almost in its entirety. it would be 2 more years before we would hear all of them. but this was the song heard around the world for the west coast. it was music that was not typically simplistic like all the Too Short and Mac Dre imitators, this was lyrical Hip Hop like they had on the east coast, only it was a unique style and it all started with Del the Funkee Homosapien.
