back when i was a kid sitting on the couch watching music videos, there were two factions the positive guys and the negative guys. todays vintage video comes from the closest side to the negative guys on the positive side. they actually were pretty positive, most of the time, but they had some trademark bad-boy tendencies that made them stand out from all the African-medallion sporting, high-top fade wearing, bright colored african patterened shirt, wannabe gangster or chuck D looking guys. they flagrantly disrespected women and had an attitude that leaned heavily toward arrogance.

they were my favorites from the native tongue crew.

i still try and buy anything they come out on. i got the brand new heavies album: heavy rhyme because i saw they had a track on it (turned out id be seeing the birth of pharcyde) and i bought Dres's solo debut at some point, not really sure if i listened to it. but Dres was a pretty impressive lyricist at the time. i was never quite sure about Lawng's DJing... but it didnt suck. they had some weird beats though.

my favorite part of this video is the dancing bo-peep. cracks me up everytime. cause.. you see.. they're black sheep.. and their bo.. is .. hip hop... nevermind.
