The last of the mixtapes i bought for catch-up purposes was Talib's latest project Blacksmith, the movement. Talib Kweli and a few other artists started their own label. now, let me get this out of the way by making sure you understand where im at, and im just doing me. i have listened to no less than 4 Talib Kweli full list material compilations in the past 2 weeks, i have seen Talib Kweli cameos everywhere. i opened my closet to get my shirt and i couldve sworn he handed it to me while spitting a metaphor. Talib... is... everywhere!

Now, Talib is the frontliner of this mixtape screaming out "blacksmith the movement" like DJ clue and all the soundboard samples are from boondocks, so its gold. what makes it funnier is the first sample is Mos Def as Gangsterlicious reminiscing about his favorite gangster rapper, ice cube, and apologizing to Riley for getting him involved in his rap gangster beef drama, while both of them are locked in a trunk.

Jean Grae's tracks are actually amazing. yea, i said it, amazing. Phil Da Agony does his usual wreck of the mic performance. Strong Arm Steady is a mandatory cop now, like, i have to have it. the thought of them making an album burns in my mind!! and Talib is only getting better as he goes along. that being said. i found this mixtape good... but... too much Talib is like too much of any good thing. you dont even feel how good it is after a while. and i find that depressing.

no, really. its awesome.
*bored-sigh* i cant even believe how good it is.
if you dont spend your money on this blacksmith hotness, youre... just stupid. its just ridiculous.

that.. new Talib is supposed to come out .. tomorrow. yay.
