my life has not turned out the amazing success that i expected in my optimistic childhood essays. in fact, one might say its the complete opposite.

i talked to a guy today who said "hey, at least youre trying! some people just sit on thier ass and wait for a miracle to happen!", and for a moment i wondered if im just sitting on my ass waiting for a miracle to happen. i mean, am i really trying hard enough? maybe i should move and look for success elsewhere. maybe thats just a quicker route to the gutter.
